My Review
The book is short and to the point. Every page you turn and read will make you smile. No matter how your mood is, believe me you won’t be able to resist a smile. While reading the book I would imagine hearing Tyrion Lannisters (Peter Dinklage) voice. This book is worth reading again and again if you are a big fan of Game of Thrones (GOT).

About the Author George R.R Martin
George Raymond Richard Martin also known as GRRM is an American novelist and short story writer, screenwriter, and television producer. He is the author of the series of epic fantasy novels A Song of Ice and Fire, which was adapted into the Emmy Award-winning HBO series Game of Thrones (2011–2019).
Breakthrough in his Career
Martin began selling science fiction short stories professionally in 1970, at age of 21. He was nominated for his work. Due to the enormous success of the Star Wars, the movie had a huge impact on the publishing industry and science fiction short stories he was able to sell in his early 20s gave him profit, but not enough to pay his bill.
He struggled in most phrases of his life. Until his fifth book, A Dance with the Dragon was published on July 12, 2011 and became an International Bestseller, including achieving no 1 spot on the New York Times Bestseller list for 88 weeks.
“There great tragedy here, but there’s also excitement, humor, heroism, even in weaklings, nobility, even in villains and , now and then, a taste of justice after all. It’s a rare gift when a writer can invest his story with that much humanity.”
About the Show Game of Thrones
Everyone knows the greatest Tv Series that ruled the television world none other than “Game of Thrones”. Game of Thrones (GOT) is an American fantasy drama created by David Benioff and D B Weiss of HBO. A adopted from “A Song of Ice and Fire”, a series of fantasy novel by George R R Martin. The first of which is “A Game of Thrones”. The show was shot in the United Kingdom, Canada, Croatia, Iceland, Malta, Marocco. Over Eight Seasons each episode captivating and spectacular, shackling the thoughts of audience for more.
My Thoughts
All high end family drama, hatred between some siblings and some died for each, love passion, sex, politics, strategy, heartbreaks, wars and many other emotions. All of them, beautifully picturised in the series. Each actors unique, admirable and unforgivable. But the most admirable, blunt, short and always straight to the point, the character that I most appreciated was “Tyrion Lannister”. Played by Peter Dinklage. I couldn’t have imagined anyone else playing this role any better than him. He left such a strong impact, that even for years if anyone talks about GOT, he would be considered a legend.
About the Actor Peter Dinklage
Peter Hayden Dinklage (born June 11, 1969) is an American actor and producer. He received acclaim for portraying Tyrion Lannister on the HBO television series Game of Thrones (2011—2019), for which he won the Primetime Emmy Award for Outstanding Supporting Actor in a Drama Series a record four times. He also received a Golden Globe Award in 2011 and a Screen Actors Guild Award in 2020 for the role.
Born in Mendham Township, New Jersey. He studied acting at Bennington College while working at a local guitar shop, starring in a number of amateur stage productions. His film debut was in Living in Oblivion (1995) and his breakthrough came with the comedy-drama The Station Agent (2003).
Breakthrough in his career
Dinklage initially struggled to find work as an actor, partially because he refused to take the roles typically offered to actors with his condition, such as “elves or leprechauns”. Dinklage found his breakthrough playing Finbar McBride, who is a quiet, withdrawn, unmarried man in the 2003 Tom McCarthy-directed film The Station Agent. Station Agent was modestly successful at the box office, earning over $8 million against its small budget.
Mainstream and critical success (2011–present)
Between 2011 and 2019, Dinklage portrayed Tyrion Lannister in HBO’s fantasy drama Game of Thrones, an adaptation of author George R. R. Martin’s A Song of Ice and Fire novels. Game of Thrones takes place on the fictional continents of Westeros and Essos and chronicles the power struggles among noble families as they fight for control of the Iron Throne of the Seven Kingdoms. Tyrion is a member of House Lannister, one of the wealthiest and most powerful families in Westeros, and uses his status as a Lannister to mitigate the impact of the marginalization and derision he has received all of his life.
The Los Angeles Times wrote “In many ways, Game of Thrones belongs to Dinklage. Tyrion is being called the “most quotable” character and “one of the most beloved characters” of the series. For his performance, he has gone on to win an Emmy Award for Outstanding Supporting Actor in a Drama Series in 2011, 2015, 2018, and 2019, as well as the 2012 Golden Globe Award for Best Supporting Actor.
About Tyrion Lannister
Tyrion Lannister (played by Peter Dinklage)
Personality
Short and straight to the point. Everyone took his disability as a joke. But Tyrion was the smartest and somewhere kind hearted among all the Lannisters. Hated by all the members (except his brother) of his family. That made him more stronger, not physically but mentally. What I love about him the most !!! He is a bibliophile. As he said “Sleep is good. Books are better” (as mentioned in ‘About My Blog’ page.) Books are his greatest weapon. Soldiers have armor and weapons, he have books.
Lover
An amazing and sensual lover on the bed. No matter who the lady were with him in the bed, he never disobeyed them. A true gentlemen. In fact, I never thought much Tyrion in the start of the series, but as the show continued he stepped out to be more kind and protective than any other character in the series. Not even Jon Snow. He would do anything to protect his lady love and his bride, no matter what the cost he had to pay for it. On being betrayed, he even killed his lady love. I wish I could be that strong like him.
Intelligence
This is one of the strongest points of Tyrion Lannister. Though he is a dwarf, his brain is a size of a planet. His strategies could save many, but people with big egoistic mind always degraded him and his plans. As books are his weapon and why not!!! If you read the right books, it helps you to shape your life for the good. Books has all the knowledge we need and how to use it for our benefits.
What can I say ! Everyone has their weapons, Tyrion has his books.
A sea of Knowledge to build a better kingdom. Only Bran Stack understood his ability and used him in his courtier to build a new kingdom with peace and harmony.
