About the Novel

It ends with us by Colleen Hoover, is a story about a young girl name Lily Bloom. Lily Bloom belongs from a small town Maine. She comes to Boston in search of a fresh start. But after shifting to Boston she gets the news that her father passed away, whom she never respected, as he was very abusive towards her mother. She promised herself, that would never be with a such kind of person. After her father’s funeral Lily meets Ryle Kincaid a neurosurgeon. Young, handsome doctor who hates relationship and only believes in one night stands. When he meets Lily for the first time; his entire worlds changes, and he falls in love with Lily.

But Lily has a past that she cannot forget, Atlas Corrigan. She first love, and whom she will always love.

Later on in the story Lily falls in love with Ryle, her world is turned upside down. She found herself to be the most happiest person, everything was just perfect. But we know nothing is perfect in life. Lily had a to pay a big price for her happiness. She has to face the biggest demon, all her fears comes true. But she has to be chose what kind of life she really wants to leave.

My Thoughts

I liked the way Colleen Hoover portrait Lily Bloom, a she town girl with big dream moves to Boston for a better life. As you go on with the story, you find Lily to be a strong girl with a strong mind. A girl with a business degrees ready to take a risk with her career to achieve her dreams.

First Love

The very first part of the novel is about first love. Ahh!!, who can forget about their first love or crush? The first meeting, hiding from everyone, meeting in a place where no one knows you. Or making something, or buying something for someone special. Or dress up beautifully for someone special. God! When I remember those days, I usually laugh on my stupidity. But this is life right? You make mistakes and learn from it.

But I tell you, some people are very lucky enough that they get to get be with their first love forever. Some, have to move on but no worries, there is something good planned for everyone. We just need to believe and let faith do it work. I say this because, when I found my Husband, I believed. God has planned everything.

All I can say, live your life to the fullest and be brave enough to say yes or no instead of giving into the situation

Abusive Relationship

According to me Lily got matured at a really young age, because of her abusive father, who abused her mother both physically and mentally. This is something that a girl shouldn’t witness in such a young age. But there are young kids, women or men who go through such abusive relationship, some fight with it, and has the courage to get out of the , but some are not so lucky enough.

We should always remember, we always have a choice.We all deserve to be happy and joy life to the fullest. I remember once, a friend of my father told “when you cannot breadth in a relationship, you should leave.” No matter, what you do, and how hard you try to hold on to someone, when things are at its worst, it would never be better. Then why to suffer, and sacrifice when you yourself is not happy about it. What’s the point in been in that relationship?

What I really liked about this novel where Colleen Hoover said, never go beyond your limits. If you do, you would finally loose yourself for ever.

What step Lily took in the end of her relationship, its really heartbreak but brave.
