Best book for the children to light up Christmas spirit

About the Author

Although she writes under the pen name J.K. Rowling, pronounced like rolling, her name when her first Harry Potter book was published was simply Joanne Rowling. Anticipating that the target audience of young boys might not want to read a book written by a woman, her publishers demanded that she use two initials, rather than her full name. As she had no middle name, she chose K as the second initial of her pen name, from her paternal grandmother Kathleen Ada Bulgen Rowling.

She calls herself Jo and has said, “No one ever called me ‘Joanne’ when I was young, unless they were angry.” Following her marriage, she has sometimes used the name Joanne Murray when conducting personal business. During the Leveson Inquiry, she gave evidence under the name of Joanne Kathleen Rowling. In a 2012 interview, Rowling noted that she no longer cared that people pronounced her name incorrectly.

About the Novel

Jack’s adventure begins when his stepsister throws his favourite toy, DP, out of the car window in anger. She felt guilty and, on seeing Jack’s heart broken, she brought a similar toy for Jack. On Christmas Eve, Jack and Christmas Pig set out on a new adventure to bring back DP from the world of the Lost. Jack and the Christmas Pig travel through different worlds, make new friends, and in the process, Jack learns about true friendship, courage and sacrifice and happiness.

Have you ever thought about your childhood toy? What would have happened to it?

This is the first question that pops into your mind when you read this book. J. K. Rowling has beautifully grasped your heart and imagination with the story of the “Christmas Pig”. The book is filled with amazing illustrations that captivate your imagination, and takes you on a journey with Jack and his CP.

While reading this book, I too thought about my toys that I played with in my childhood. I bet you might have got the through what if your toys come to life?

But what if my toys came to life? And they tell me how my friend and I treated them? This thought made me wonder. I should teach my daughter to take care of her things, which will help her to create many memories for the future ahead.

As you move on with story, J.K.Rowling as beautifully raise the christmas scpirit. The story makes you believe in christmas miracles, no matter how bad the suitation never lose your hope.

I have decided, when my daughter grows up I’ll make her read this book.
